چکیده

Background: Acute Myeloid leukemia (AML) is the most prominent acute in adults. In United States, we experience over 20,000 cases per year. Over past decade, improvements diagnosis of subtypes AML and advances therapeutic approaches have improved outlook for patients with AML. However, despite these advancements, survival rate among who are less than 65 years age only 40 percent. Purpose: The purpose paper to study if there exists any significant difference probabilities male female patients. Also, want investigate parametric probability distribution that best fits patient compare non-parametric Kaplan-Meier (KM) method. Methods: We used both statistical methods perform analysis assess 2015 diagnosed Results: found evidence a statistically between mean time performed Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) fitting data then estimated compared them frequently Conclusion: comparison estimates two revealed better estimate by method Kaplan-Meier. also median individually descriptive, parametric, analysis. more robust efficient because it based on well-defined probabilistic distribution, hence preferred estimate. This offers significance further enhancement treat Leukemia.

Survival analysis of breast cancer patients with different chronic diseases through parametric and semi-parametric approaches

Introduction: There is a lack of information on the extent of dependency between chronic diseases and the survival rate of breast cancer. Until date, none of the models proposed has determined the impact of chronic diseases on breast cancer survival. This study, therefore, aimed to investigate the impacts of chronic diseases such as diabetes, blood pressure, and endocrine di...

Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) — Classification and Survival Rate

Acute myeloid leukemia is due to a malignant transformation of the hematopoietic stem cells. It is predominantly seen in the age group of 50 – 60 years and is characterized by the arrest of leukocyte development in the early stage of development. Diagnosis is based on the presence of blast cells in the peripheral circulation. It is treated by chemotherapy, which includes treatment of remission ...
